Walhalla Woman's Club

Welcome to the Walhalla Woman's Club

The guiding principle of the Walhalla Woman's Club is active participation in civic improvement with education, the arts, political action, downtown revitalization, women's rights, and child welfare receiving the focus of attention.  Some of the organizations that we support are the Greater Walhalla Area Yard of the Month, Oconee Friends of the Library, Rosa Clark Clinic, Walhalla East & West Entrance Signs, Downtown Walhalla Clean-up, Earle House, Walhalla Civic Auditorium, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and others.

 General Federation of Women's Club

Our State parent organization is the General Federation of Women's Clubs of South Carolina. Interests and experience of GFWC members, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service. Each local chapter benefits from membership, service, material, and program support from state and national Federation levels.

The GFWC is the world's largest and oldest non-partisan, non-denominational women's volunteer service organization. Annually, GFWC members volunteer over 13 million hours and contribute approximately $35 million through more than 160 thousand club projects.

Under the motto of “Unity in Diversity,” GFWC has built an outstanding record of accomplishments; promoting education, preserving natural resources, stressing good citizenship, encouraging healthy lifestyles, contributing international understanding and supporting participation in the arts.
